If you are looking for instructions on how to make fabric flowers, here's some information that you should go through.

Fabric Flowers: How to Make

Making fabric flowers is definitely one of the most interesting and easy craft projects for children. Let me tell you about the things you need for making flowers from fabric. First of all, you will need to get hold of fabrics, matching thread, needle, scissors, glue gun and buttons. There are many different ways of making fabric flowers. Here are some of the easy ways of making beautiful flowers from fabric.

Fabric Flower # 1
You must also decide the shape as well as the size of the flower you wish to create. Look for a vibrant colored fabric. You will need bigger petals for the bottom most layer of the fabric flower. You can also look at the printable fabric flowers free patterns from the Internet. All you need to do is cut the fabric as per the fabric flower pattern. You could also draw the basic shape of the flower on the fabric. Make sure that you cut it neatly. This can be used as the base and the petals can then be glued or stitched onto the base. Put in or layer the petals onto the base till you get the desired shape. If you are stitching the petals, make sure that you use a thread that matches the color of the fabric used. Stitch the petals in the center. You can then glue a button in the center. You can also use glitter or embellish the flower with rhinestones or in any way you want. Wasn't that easy!

Fabric Flower # 2
For this fabric flower, you will need to cut the fabric into five square shapes. Make sure that the squares are of the same size. The next step is to fold the square so as to make a triangular shape. Now thread the needle with a matching thread. You now need to start sewing along the two open edges. Don't stitch it very tightly and don't stitch on the folded edge of the triangle. Once the open edges have been loosely stitched, you will need to pull the thread and the needle to gather the fabric. You have finished making one petal. Don't cut the thread. Fold another square and continue till you have made five petals. Now stitch the last petal to the first one. Now place a beautiful button in the center to conceal the stitching.

Fabric Flower # 3
Let me tell you another way to make a fabric flower. For this you will need to cut the fabric in circular shape. You will need 16 such circular fabric pieces. For the base, you will need two of these pieces. Start by placing one piece on top of the other. Now thread the needle and stitch these two in the center. Now get your hands on four of these pieces. Fold each piece into half and secure each of them onto the two pieces by stitching them in the center. Now you are still left with ten of the fabric pieces. All you need to do is, fold each of them twice and stitch them onto the base. You can also cut the edges of the circular pieces in a zigzag manner and proceed with the same instructions to create beautiful fabric flowers.

These were some instructions on how to make fabric flowers. As I said earlier, there are many ways to make fabric flowers. You can use different types of fabrics such as organza, silk, cotton or velvet to create different types of fabric flowers and use them in the artificial flower arrangements. Now that you know how to create artificial flowers from fabrics, don't just throw away the fabric, unleash your creativity on this easy craft project. Have fun!
