Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is a disorder when breast cells incur abnormality. The cancer that forms in the tissues of breast, usually in ducts i.e. (tubes that carry milk to the nipple). Without proper care breast cancer will grow and spread throughout the breast and other body parts. Even breast cancer is serious like other cancers, and can cause death. It occurs both in men and women but mostly women’s.

Warning sign and Symptoms of Breast Cancer:

Every person has different symptoms to it. Some may have many symptoms and some may doesn’t have any symptoms.

    * Lump size of breast is differing from normal ones. When people find out this the cancer has already grown to a great extend.
    * Changes in breast size, shape, skin dimpling, nipple inversion, or spontaneous single-nipple discharge.
    * Person can find through mammogram.
    * Swelling and thickening part of breast.
    * Pain in area of breast.
    * Redness in the area of nipple and breast.
    * Pain in a nipple area.
    * Itching, burning and pain near nipple and in breast.

Risk factors of developing Breast Cancer:

    * Primary factor is sex
    * Increasing Age, breastfeeding.
    * Higher hormone levels.
    * If someone doesn’t do breastfeeding it may cause breast cancer.
    * Family history of breast cancer, if mother or any other female family member has breast cancer than there are chances for the children to have breast cancer.
    * If your menstruation starts before 12 year and stop after 55year.
    * Drinking lots of alcohol can also cause breast cancer.
    * History of breast cancer, if anyone has breast cancer in one breast than chances is there to have cancer in other breast also.
    * Overweight also cause breast cancer.
    * Using birth control pills also cause breast cancer.
    * Genetic predispositions to breast cancer, if a parent has breast cancer it automatically transfer to the child.

Breast Cancer Diagnosed:
Screening test to find out breast cancer includes;

    * Breast ultrasound (machine use to make detail picture of breast),
    * Magnetic resonance imaging (kind of body scanning),
    * Mammography (detail X-RAY of breast),
    * Biopsy (test that removes tissue or fluid from the breast).

Treatment of Breast Cancer:

   1. Surgery: The doctors cut down the tissues which causes breast cancer.
   2. Chemotherapy: Basically a medicine treatment to kill the cancer. A doctor prescribes the pills to kill cancer or to destroy the cancer. Some time the medicines are given through intravenous (IV) tube or sometimes the doctors do both the treatment.
   3. Biological therapy: It works with body immune system, as how body reacts with the drugs.
   4. Radiation: It is used after surgery; they use high energy rays to destroy the cancer cells.

There is no sure way to prevent breast cancer but you can reduce the cancer in early stage by taking precautions. You can control the drinking of alcohols, daily exercise, and healthy weight, prefer breastfeeding for more months.
